Yet, I choose to live here.


Below 20 Celsius sucks, add wind chill, and it sucks even more.


Yet, I choose to live here.


If you have wet hair and you go outside it freezes.


Yet, I choose to live here.


I keep buying new winter coats, because I keep getting fatter, and they are expensive as fuck.


Yet, I choose to live here.


You can’t go for walks and enjoy it, it’s too damn cold.


Yet, I choose to live here.


It’s dark by 4 pm and doesn’t lighten up until 8am. I work night shift, I literally never see the sun.


Yet, I choose to live here.


My car is so cold sometimes it’s hard to turn the steering wheel.


Yet, I choose to live here.


You have to brake like a block away from the stop sign so you don’t slide through the intersection it’s so cold and icy.


Yet, I choose to live here.


Shovelling snow.


Yet, I choose to live here.

So why do I choose to live here?


My people are here, it’s affordable to live, it’s what I know, and community is more important to me than hot weather and sunshine. This is where I belong... and I love it.
